I’m Peregrine, a pinay herbalist and illustrator and wanderer and sibling and friend.
Pronouns: they/them, siya, she/her
I was born in the deep winter in zhekagoynak/zhigaagoong/šikaakonki to an immigrant community who taught me english alongside the cultural medicines of touching your food and mixing salt with water and bahala na.
I’ve been in formal practice of herbalism for a decade, and my longtime love of our plant companions only continues to grow. I have a particular interest in sharing about locally abundant, ancestral, and kitchen-accessible herbal remedies.
My work is QTBIPOC*-centered; and encourages adaptation, engages land-based relationships, and embraces collectivized models of care.
Some of my most healing experiences have been in decolonial and community-oriented education, which I strive to continue by cultivating creative and sensitive learning environments in workshops and consultations.
Over the years I’ve collaborated with urban green spaces, nonprofit organizations, schools and universities, and neighborhood collectives, and as a clinically trained care provider I also work with folks one-on-one.
