RE-MEMBRANCE & REGENERATION

Love, I see you.
You're a creative. A healer. A changemaker. You're here to relate wider, resource deeper, and move in freedom through an interconnected world.
You survive at the intersections of multiple forms of oppression, and your body is in revolt.
It's not in your head, it’s not broken, and it's not your fault. It’s a sign of brilliance.
I see you. I’ve lived with chronic pain and fatigue that were dismissed for so long that I almost believed I was exaggerating it, until I realized I wasn't alone.
Talking with my family, friends, and neighbors, patterns of dis-ease started to become clear. And the dis-ease wasn't just our symptoms and pathologies — it was how we were being treated.
How we were being diagnosed, dismissed, and prescribed traced a pattern of isolation, neglect, and extraction...because like all western institutions, the medical system was built with the blueprint of empire.
You know it, I know it: That’s no way to heal.
Before science confirmed it, we’ve known in our bones that patterns of modern dis-ease are manufactured by colonialism and racial capitalism.
We’ve felt the ancestral and emotional threads tethered to our physical symptoms.
Are you ready to put it all together?
I’m Peregrine.
Across the last decade, I've held lush, embodied sanctuary for folks learning and practicing herbalism to re-member our nature and regenerate our relationship with the animate world.
I created Dirt & Free Herbal Arts as a way to grow this life work and support healers, creatives, and curious earthlings (like you) in making more medicine in the cracks of a crumbling infrastructure, not just because we deserve more, but because we are more.
We’re conditioned to use the colonial blueprint and manage our symptoms like empire tries to manage us. But who benefits from us silencing our bodies and thinking we’re doing something wrong with our health?
What I’ve learned from my people like the Dandelion growing out of concrete is that more becomes possible when we learn to communicate, collaborate, and adapt not just with the soil of our bodies but with all of our relations.
This is where our journey begins.
From symptom to system, we'll attune to what's here and whole and brilliant:
The archive of stories held in your bodymind
The energies at rest and play in your life
The nonhuman relatives who have been waiting to connect with you
You can expect each session to be informational, collaborative, and responsive to your lived, ancestral, and future experiences. Our work will weave heartfelt talks, writing, and somatic practice to hold space for deep inquiry and witness.
We'll learn from your body, and approach symptoms as guides not just to the roots of imbalance, but to the transformation you are here to create.
And of course, the herbs are here to support.
What I’ve experienced in my own body and through my work is that the plants, fungi, algae, animals — our non-human neighbors — remind us that we're never out of relationship.
Herbs offer accompaniment, wisdom, and tangible support on multiple levels:
They can help us ease into the softness for which our inner child yearns.
They can stoke the fires of our digestion to help process the shit we hold in our gut.
When called upon, they remind us that we are of the earth, and that we belong to the land.
Our plant relatives can offer protection and inspire courage, and they can keep us focused on what we are here on this earth to do.

FAQs
What can I expect working with herbs?
I find that through this work, folks who are open to working with herbs receive practical knowledge and tools for engaging their local and ancestral ecosystems. Rather than learning "what this plant is good for" we approach plants as our relatives and elders, and they show up in our neighborhoods, books, and dreams to support us and remind us we are part of a living earth. Herbal medicine, whether taken internally or topically, is most effective with consistency over time, often alongside other lifestyle shifts and rituals. While there may be immediate benefits to starting an herbal regimen, system-wide change can ask patience of us. It's both an art and practice.
Are there additional payment options for financial accessibility?
Clients with access to wealth and consistent resourcing are encouraged to pay in full at booking, or work out a pay-it-forward plan to support mutual aid and free consultations for under-resourced community members.
To increase financial accessibility, payment plans are available for all services. Inquire about limited sliding scale spots or trades by emailing peregrine@dirtandfree.world My ongoing barter/wishlist can be found here.
How will herbs affect my medications?
Herbs can have many interactions with prescribed medications, but it doesn’t mean they won’t work together. During our time together, we'll go over the medications you are taking and why, and this can lead to a greater understanding and appreciation of how the meds are working with your body. Sometimes herbs can support unwanted side effects of medications, and sometimes herbs aren’t needed in our work together at all. Other times, we can work with herbs energetically, like with plant essences, in ways that don’t physically interact with medications but can have profound impacts on our emotional and spiritual experience.
